It's so easy to give to charity, you can do it in your sleepIn fact, you do. Every time you book online to sleep in one of our rooms, you have the option of selecting a charity. We then donate a percentage of your booking to the charity you have chosen. Whilst each individual amount may seem small, when you consider how many people stay at the City Lodge family of hotels, our contribution, thanks to all our visitors, is quite considerable. | You make the difference! For every booking you make we will make a donation to the charity of your choice. Operation Hunger is an NGO concerned with the direct and indirect problems of chronic malnutrition and poverty in South Africa. It is registered with the Department of Social Development as a Not-for-profit organisation. The organisation has an extensive network and infrastructure that provides unique access to vulnerable people in the most remote areas of the country. The fight against poverty in South Africa continues and the growth of child-headed families due to the scourge of AIDS is exacerbating the problem. More and more effort is needed to improve the economic and social lives of poor families. Operation Hunger needs the support of civil society - corporates, businesses and individuals alike - to continue its crusade for the upliftment of the poor. http://www.operationhunger.co.za |

| Protecting Animals Healing their Sickness Fighting Cruelty Empowering Others to do the Same We work primarily in informal settlements within reasonable proximity of our headquarters, providing basic veterinary care to animals belonging to the financially disadvantaged. Sick or injured animals, from cats to cart-horses are brought to our hospital for professional veterinary assessment and treatment. South African Golf Development Board |
| Golf Development in South Africa reached an all-time high, as major strides were taken to identify and nurture the young golf talent our country has to offer. Instrumental in this process is the work done by the South African Golf Development Board (SAGDB), an organization dedicated to developing the game of golf amongst the underprivileged communities of South Africa.
The SAGDB celebrates its fifth operational year and is proud to have introduced the game of golf to approximately 7 000 children between the ages of 7 – 18 thus far, with the assistance from Sponsors such as City Lodge. The success of the programme is reflected by the fact that 11 programme graduates have joined the crème of the crop in the Ernie Els Foundation, to date. www.sagolfboard.org |
